Skyscapes

This gallery contains only the most recent (or most favorite) of my digital works in this category that I have chosen to display, up to a total of 20 images. Items will be rotated beyond that point as newer ones are included.

I haven't included any comments with the skyscapes. I don't have any special techniques for reaching these images; it's mostly a matter of generating clouds and positioning the sun until one reaches a skyward "terrain" he likes. Atmospheric and shadow settings have extreme influence over the final effect. On a couple occasions, I rendered different clouds in the same sky, layering them together afterwards in a paint program, but Terragen's skies are already so effective straight from the program, I found those steps to be redundant moreso than added value.
