I use a number of great programs in the creation of these images, most notably Tierazon, freeware by Stephen C. Ferguson. Stephen has made several fractal generators, and each has its own appeal. I use four of them, but Tierazon is my favorite for most images. You'll also see the use of MetaCreations Poser here. Once the fractal is rendered and chosen, I import it into Poser as a background to set up the models and the lighting. The background is removed before the final render. The remainder of the work takes place with an assortment of paint programs.
