4, Vue d'Esprit 3, Paint Shop Pro 5, various filters The general style inspiration for this piece comes from a photographic trend of the early 70's, commonly known as "soft touch." It would typically depict a lovely young lady in a nature setting, with bright, yet soft color tones, usually with everything in high key and out of focus with only foggy details just enough to be able to identify objects. Invariably, there were also included a few lines of poetry. Perhaps a bit trite and corny, but I always liked the effect of the soft touch style, and its characteristics do seem to express romance emotion, which was just in time for Valentine's Day. |
