1999:
New Dawn
This image was a long time in coming, having begun in 1997. I'd seen a beautiful tropical sunrise photograph and had found out I could build simple scene settings from prop primitives in Poser 2. I put the ideas together, but further work on the image had to wait until I could recreate the essence of the copyrighted photo using my own materials. Discovering Terragen helped me include the water, sky and distant islands. After a little more time passed, I found Plant Studio and was able to add the "Fan Weeper" leaves that peek around the edges of the window. Although I'd had the naked Poser model in place with the setting from the start, the resulting "sketch" still wasn't working for me until I was able to add the wings model created by "Virus". Finally, the clothing was painted in PSP, gradients added to all layers and everything came together at long last.
